sources[edit]

Edmunds and www.ls1tech.com are not very good sources for a quarter mile time.. a hint: STICK to official manufacturer times on wikipedia, it's OFFICIAL.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.154.7.35 (talk)

Many manufacturers do not list quarter mile times for their vehicles - especially sportbikes (possibly due to rider weight?) I have added the cbr600rr to the table to show the quarter mile time for an average sportbike. I feel that motorcycle usa is a very trusted source for this information.

-- above poster, OFFICIAL manufacturer times are almost always highly optimistic. The only reliable source are credible publications

what are you refering to? BMan1113VR 09:20, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2002 z28 camaro has gone in the high 12s stock and so has the STi. Also the norm for the 02 Z28 is 13.2-13.3 and for the STi 13.3-13.4, get your facts straight.

Veyron time[edit]

I've edited the time for the Veyron, I can't find anything from the Australian Wheels magazine as stated in that issue. It's more likely the claimed time. The addition popped up right after I added the litre-class motorcycle time (GSX-R).

R&T February 07 puts it at 10.2 seconds @142.9mph. Wheels magazine tests 2-up with a known quantity of fuel, making me further doubt the 9-second entry.

Why not normal cars?[edit]

Is it just me, or is the list of times way more useful if it includes some normal cars? People would get the vastly wrong idea if they thought most of these times were anything close to what a typical car would run. Friday (talk) 21:12, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
