Wrong place for the city
"They begin to build the city of San Salvador and eventually manage to hoist the town bell into its tower, symbolising the arrival of Christianity in the New World." - This is incorrect, both historically and in the film. Columbus never founded a city on San Salvador. The city he founded in the film and in history is La Isabela, on Hispaniola. SchnitteUK (talk) 17:39, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
I think there should be a small section concerning the disparity between the movies depiction of Columbus and the latest historical research on his person. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.127.116.11 (talk) 05:39, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
Agreed. There are big discrepancies between the movie character and the real historical figure, and they should be pointed out, as the film tries to be a historical account.
