15th lok sabha elections[edit]

Lok sabha elections are held with a view to form a new and stable government with some defined goals and definite objectives for able governance and smooth functioning of Indian political system. The present lok sabha elections held in year 2009 is the 15th lok sabha which made indian National congress ie. the UPA to take lead and Honble Shri Manmohan Singh became the Prime Miniter of India for the second tenure. The winning of UPA government in this election was obvious due to many judicious policies and methodical steps implemented in an efficient and gainful manner fulfilling most of the targets set by planning commission. The implementation of NREGA, RTI act, Loan waiver, preferrential treatment for the vote banks and employment opportunities for youth due to robust economic growth manouvered the outcome for the UPA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.212.144.140 (talk) 10:37, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Modifications to numerical list[edit]

In light of present conflabulatiuions of march 2012 after the UP election results , there can be a state of uncertainity and political reorganizations within the 15th Lok Sabha.

Therefore, I find it prudent to modify the tallies given in the table relating to the numerical strength of the parties within the 15th Lok Sabha.

I intend to use the official govt website, loksabha(dot)nic(dot)in for this purpose as a reference for the data.
