Make of car number 50, Pousse/Sparrowe[edit]

@Pauli133: I assume you used this source when changing from DB to Panhard? Every other source I can find (admittedly many of the sources given for the results table are dead links), including Hough's book both in text and in the entry list, list the car as a DB. Do you have any other sources? A7V2 (talk) 02:01, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We have identified the car N0 50 Registration 3517-BN75 Paris 1953 Panhard Dyna Junior.

Motorsportimages along with racinsportscars have agreed with the Panhard Factory archivists and recently corrected the mistake that this is an X86 Dyna Junior and not DB hbr The entry has been wrongly repeated. pls study detailed photographs — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dripro1 (talkcontribs) 20:43, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Dripro1: Apologies for pinging the wrong person in my above question (and apologies to Pauli133 for tagging you above)...
Thankyou for your reply. Firstly, I should remind you that original research is not permitted on Wikipedia. Everything on wikipedia should be able to be verified in a reliable source. Would you be able to provide any other source for this? I've had a look at motorsportimages.com but the only image of car 50 I could find was at the bottom of this page [1] but it lists it as a "DB HBR-Panhard". Dear Sirs
With respect there are at least 4 photographs of the Panhard Dyna Junior number 50 on this page at the Dundrod 1953 TT
Along with the Works DB hbr No 49. Appologies but anyone who is familiar with the DB and Panhard Marque it is clearly not the same make or model.
We agree the Text entry may have been for the works car but for reasons unknown other than to the race organisers in 1953 the car that actually took part in this race is the production model Panhard Dyna Junior x86 registration number 3517-BN75 Paris
(Without opening another can of worms we are pretty sure the car driven by AP Hitchings 20th Sept 1953 at Prescott Hill climb is the same car, it has the same repair weld front left door)
We are more than familiar with the DB race cars and models and this is without any doubt the Junior Panhard X86
Only trying to correct a clear error.
Thank you

Hi Dripro1, having had a closer look at the photos, you are right, it definitely looks quite different (much more square in the front than the 49 car). I'll put it back to being a Panhard, with an inline reference to the RacingSportscars page since it does conflict with so many sources. Thanks. A7V2 (talk) 07:42, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir, That is perfect Thank you for your help Dripro1 (talk) 16:12, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
