why cheesemongers?[edit]

There is a redirect from "cheesemongers" to this article. Am I the only person who might be wondering what the connection is twixt the peddlers of the "fromage de la belle France" and this august and time-honoured military institution? Myles325a (talk) 02:56, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

Probably not. The answer may be found in the article on the Horse Grenadier Guards. In all fairness, the various articles on the Life Guards and its antecedents are a dog's dinner that need to be reorganized and probably consolidated. Wally Wiglet (talk) 04:02, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
