2+2 as a generic simple problem[edit]

I think there needs to be an article about the history of 2+2 as it occurs in culture. I am curious about this. For example, 3+1=4 is a simple equation, 1+2=3 is also easy, and 1+1=2 is a simple equation that also tends to occur in the same fashion, but why specifically 2+2? As something that occurs widely on it's own, I think the phenomenon deserves some kind of article... Even failing that, I find it very peculiar that there is not any kind of reference on this matter whatsoever on this page besides the above idiotic conversation. • The expression 2+2 is used frequently in popular culture, enough so that I can see plenty of material, but sourcing may be problematic, and avoiding original research would be difficult. Best if you just started the article in a sandbox and invited others to work on it for a few months, then move it to mainspace. Dennis Brown (talk) 00:57, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
