O'Brien and the "†" symbol[edit]

I took the liberty of removing the † from O'Brien in the player stats section. The reason I see this not being needed was O'Brien was traded on Oct. 6, before the season started (not counting the European games). He obviously didn't have any stats with the Lightning to include for the season, so I see no reason why it is needed there. Kaiser matias (talk) 01:42, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, while he didn't have any stats with Tampa Bay, he was in Anaheim as well. If you go to the Shane O'Brien article and look at the "career statistics" section, it becomes apparent that there were previous stats, so I don't know where you're getting at. ~ Troy (talk) 02:02, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The symbol is to be used for a specific season basis. O'Brien was a member of Anaheim in previous seasons, while this symbol represents that he played on another team in that same season. I would argue that the symbol should be there on the basis that O'Brien played one regular season game with Tampa this year, but I'll let Kaiser respond before I put it back in. I already had to do that once today. – Nurmsook! talk... 02:06, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I forgot that he was with Tampa Bay when they went to Europe. That would explain the confusion. I was going based on the fact that he played with a team that started on Oct. 9, and had yet to play a regular season game. Thanks for pointing out that obvious logic-hole I had. With that said, I'll agree the symbol should stay. Kaiser matias (talk) 02:30, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done should be fine, now. ~ Troy (talk) 02:33, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Records[edit]

As they lost some games in Overtime, the 9 game home losing streak is not considered as such. However, they do now have an 11 game home winning streak, which is a record. Bmcnamee (talk) 17:01, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

7th Canuck banner honoring the fans[edit]

Was the number 7 banner for the fans, the "7th Canuck", a retired number or just an honored one. I have not heard any official announcements that say whether it was retired or honored. 108.0.244.168 (talk) 06:01, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Its not the #7 persay. Its that the fans are the 7th player. ie there are 6 players on the ice + the fans which make 7. -DJSasso (talk) 12:11, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I know what the number refers to. But my question is, was #7 "retired" or just "honored"? 108.0.244.168 (talk) 10:28, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You misunderstand me. It wasn't a number indicating a retiring or honouring. Had nothing to do with that. -DJSasso (talk) 13:52, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
