In the news posting[edit]

The news section of the front page reads:

"After neither candidate failed to win a majority in the Maldives' first democratic presidential election, the incumbent Maumoon Abdul Gayoom will face Mohamed Nasheed in a runoff."

"Neither candidate failed" should be reworded, either to "neither candidate succeeded" or "both candidates failed." I hope this gets spotted before the news leaves the front page. 131.216.103.211 (talk) 01:18, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fact is that neither failed. It should stand as is, and more to the point - democracy should play no role in the Maldives. Mwahcysl (talk) 18:32, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean "democracy should play no role in the Maldives"? – Zntrip 22:38, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
