Game log error?[edit]

In my creation of the game log on this page, I seem to have somehow arrived at 160 games instead of the normal 162. I studied the schedule thoroughly and could not find any games that I had missed. I also did not see an error in the game numbering (e.g., putting the same number two games in a row, thus disrupting the count), so I'm wondering what could have caused this. Are there two games in the schedule that haven't been released? It wouldn't make sense to me; today is the official release date for the preliminary schedules. If anyone could shed any light on this matter, it would be appreciated. RedSoxFan274 (leave a message~contribs) 00:37, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I identified a situation wherein I had erroneously put the number "15" twice for games in April, and I recounted and retyped the game numbers, so that we are now at 161 games. However, this still leaves one game unaccounted for, and I do not see any other examples of this folly, making me wonder if there was a whole game that I accidentally left out of the game log. It must be understood that the monotony, if you will, of creating a 162-game Log can tire the brain and lead to slip-ups. RedSoxFan274 (leave a message~contribs) 04:22, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This problem has now been resolved. RedSoxFan274 (leave a message~contribs) 23:56, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Boxscore links in the game log[edit]

Keeping in precedent with the 2011 season, it has been noticed that sometimes MLB Gameday is being used to provide boxscore links in the game log. However, for the 2012 season the recommended link to use has changed to Index of /content/game/mlb, which provides simpler, easier to read boxscores than the bells-and-whistles-strewn Gameday. The 2012 boxscore links for this system can be found here. (It may be of use to bookmark this page if you edit the game log frequently.) You must click on the correct month, date, and game, and then choose from a variety of boxscore links, though the one marked "boxscore_col.html," an example of which is seen here, is preferred.

Of course you are completely at liberty to insert whatever links you like into the game log as long as they corroborate the information in the game log for that particular game, but if so they may be changed after the fact to this form.

Thank you! And Go Sox.

I see the memo has been picked up. Thanks!
