Thanks[edit]

Hey guys, I made this page cause I thought we needed one, and I want to thank all the people who figured out all the stuff I couldn't. Thank you!

Should American Dad be listed as renewed for 2014-2015[edit]

In the 2012-2013 article, there is a sourced claim that FOX renewed the show for a ninth production cycle in May 2012. The ninth broadcast season will be airing in the 2013-2014 season.

However, because of the way FOX has schedule the show in the past, the eighth broadcast season is completely made up of of episodes from the seventh production cycle - so unless in 2013-2014 FOX plans on airing the 46 episodes that make up production seasons 8 and 9 + the two episodes from production season 7 that are currently unscheduled (this is almost guaranteed to not happen), the show WILL be returning for 2014-2015. Thoughts? - Wattlebird (talk) 12:04, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Should Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. be listed under new ABC series?[edit]

As above. -Or is it only a 'pilot' so far? --65.13.226.101 (talk) 00:29, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It hasn't been ordered to series yet. --Babar Suhail (talk) 21:08, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Murder Police[edit]

adding the murder police to fox's new show which potentially would be added to sundays, an animation show that "Manuel Sanchez aspires to be a good cop, but his efforts to solve crimes are constantly put in jeopardy by his own clumsiness and the incompetence of his fellow detectives, including his partner, Tommy Margaretti, a tough, rule-breaking bad cop who can't interrogate a suspect without beating him up" starts chi McBride and will sasso. reference: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2557040/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.206.87.60 (talk) 20:48, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Other channels[edit]

How come other channels and tv shows aren't listed here? Like Showtime, FX, TNT, TV Land, TBS, USA and Syfy. Oh and let's not forget AMC, which airs Breaking Bad and what was probably the most popular show last year, The Walking Dead. Just sayin. Raykyogrou0 (talk) 11:27, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[copied from previous year's talk page] Because those are all cable channels. This is a schedule for major "networks." CSB radio (talk) 16:21, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It appears someone is working on a cable schedule. (current version) CSB radio (talk) 16:28, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So, a full page containing all the channels + tv shows for a season has never existed? Raykyogrou0 (talk) 09:26, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I would assume so. (You can search for one if you like.) "Network" tv was all there was (ABC, NBC, CBS), then cable evolved in, like, the 70s, then Fox showed up as a 4th major "network." (And also the CW is currently noteworthy.) It seems to me that they've always been considered separate media, practically. CSB radio (talk) 17:43, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I can't find anything. I search for "television schedule", all I get are the different years for network television schedule. I can't find anything for "cable" or "cable television schedule". Why can't there be a full tv schedule for all channels and tv shows on Wp? Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 10:43, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's really easy to list the networks because there are only a few. There are HUNDREDS of cable channels, and imagine trying to set that up and finding any info on it. It would be TOO bloated and inefficient. Fix329 (talk) 01:50, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There can be a joint schedule. All there needs to be is consensus. I, for one, would probably oppose this because network and cable seem to be considered separate entities that play by different rules. In short, network tv is more of a competition, and is easier to manage. Also, having any kind of a cable schedule would probably violate "indiscriminate collection of info" (There's an awful lot of channels). So, I'd be okay with a cable schedule, but not a joint one, even though I wouldn't care to use the cable one. --CSB radio (talk) 17:14, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What about just the cable channels that actually matter, not listing programs for channels that nobody watches like religious channels, etc. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 11:01, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to start one. Just don't be surprised if you have a lot of opposition. CSB radio (talk) 18:59, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

PBS[edit]

Is PBS included in this article? If so, they just announced their Fall 2013 schedule here. (Feel free to put the info in yourself, I'm working on a bunch of other projects right now) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nick1372 (talkcontribs) 21:07, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm smacking myself here. I just read the opening section of the article. Sorry. Nick1372 (talk) 21:30, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

MyNetwork TV[edit]

As expected, I knew somebody would revert my edit removing the MyNetwork TV notice so I am going to discuss it. Do we really need the notice the MyNetwork TV notice though, MyNetwork hasn't been included in the schedule since the 2009-10 schedule, even that year it just listed reruns. Don't you think people would know by now that MyNetwork TV hasn't aired any original programming since 2009? JayJayWhat did I do? 01:51, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that it shouldn't be needed since they haven't had anything of their own in a while, but at same time shouldn't ion television be removed since it only had flashpoint and at this point in time ion hasn't made any deals to revival any of the dead shows other networks killed off during this season. 173.206.72.186 (talk) 02:02, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I second the removal of both ion and mynetwork. Neither are major networks. Granted they are both are in the category of channels this schedule covers, but so are others we don't even mention (that links to ALL the American broadcast networks); and I think it's safe to say that no one cares about either of them. CSB radio (talk) 06:09, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I see no objections so I will give it another day or two JayJayWhat did I do? 00:36, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well I try to use the talk page because that is the mature thing to do, but my edits still get reverted. JayJayWhat did I do? 23:52, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Weeks start with Monday[edit]

Why the Schedule begins on Sunday? ISO stated Monday as first day of the week, and even the just released official schedule for NBC and FOX start from Monday to Sunday. Giskard (talk) 15:24, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As the article states, an ISO calendar is only used in certain cases. This TV schedule uses the standard American week. As for the official network schedules, I'm not sure why they are that way, but again, we use the week that is most familiar to the United States. CSB radio (talk) 04:14, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why isn't Hannibal (TV series) on either the returning or not returning list?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:40, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Because NBC hasn't made a renewal/cancelation decision yet, although in all honesty, given its numbers, I don't see how it will survive. --Drmargi (talk) 15:41, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Does every show eventually get officially cancelled. Looking at {{NBCNetwork Shows (current and upcoming)}}, I am wondering about Love in the Wild, Take It All (game show), Betty White's Off Their Rockers, Fashion Star.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 18:41, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's safe to say Love in the Wild and Take It All will not be becoming back next year as they have been removed from NBC's website JayJayWhat did I do? 20:06, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed those two now.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 18:31, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hannibal has been renewed now. JayJayWhat did I do? 16:59, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We should protect this article[edit]

We've been having some editors from IP addresses making unhelpful edits on this article and 2012–13 United States network television schedule. I think we need to semi-protect this article from dealing with constant revert edits and such. BattleshipMan (talk) 05:06, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We are Men Cancelled[edit]

We are men is now canceled by cbs after 2 episodes due to low ratings. second cancellation of season. J4lambert (talk) 00:46, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Straight-to-series shows (Extant, Battle Creek, Hieroglyph, Mulany, Untitled Matt Hubbard Multi-Camera Comedy)[edit]

These all have straight-to-series orders (Extant and Battle Creek at CBS, Hieroglyph, Mulany, Untitled Matt Hubbard Multi-Camera Comedy at Fox) but it's not clear whether they will air this season or next season. Personally, I think they should be included in this article until it's clear they won't be airing until next season. -109.151.248.99 (talk) 21:41, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to The Futon Critic, they are all in their correct places as of this post. extant battle creek hieroglyph In the case of Hieroglyph, it is unknown if it will be part of 2013-14 or 2014-15, but since it's been picked up in Oct, in is probably in 2014-15. mulaney hubbardƆ ☎ ℡ ☎ 20:18, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Michael J. Fox[edit]

There seems to be some confusion whether Michael J. Fox's show has been canceled or not. Some media are re-reporting an article from Vulture, which says it has been removed from the schedule, erroneously interpreting that as a cancelation. NBC has issued a statement, which appears in the Vulture article, that the show has not been canceled, but has been removed from the schedule until April. Consequently, it should not be included on the list of canceled shows until such time as NBC makes that decision. --Drmargi (talk) 19:16, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Follow-up?[edit]

What is "Follow-up", what does it refer to? Does it mean summer? I read a lot about television and never came across this expression for television programming.

Also, can the Saturday schedule be updated? It still lists football as primetime programming and the NFL and college seasons are long over. Liz Read! Talk! 00:48, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

WORKING THE ENGELS!! 2014-15 series actually part of 2013-14[edit]

working the engels is actually currently airing on both nbc channel and the cdn counterpart global tv. Some reason someone listed it on 2014-15 it has been airing for 3-5 weeks now. 173.206.145.224 (talk) 03:08, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
