Position by round

[edit]

@Dave logic: Your edit is wrong. The round number you are insisting on does not corresponds with what is seen here. It can be easily written in a note within the footballbox that the round number is not same as in the report in order to preserve chronological evolvements. You should not make any more reverts or otherwise you could be blocked.--Sakiv (talk) 12:21, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Sakiv: Match round should always match that given by the governing body of the competition. If a match is moved/postponed etc. then it should keep it's original matchday number, and using the "note" enter state the original matchday date, reason for it's movement and the new matchday date. This keeps the matches in chronological order of dates played and highlights movements in the clubs calendar. Highlighting the "sports rbr table" opens up a separate question about how that is used in conjunction with schedules that move.--Dave logic (talk) 12:56, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dave logic: You are contradicted. Again the result section should correspond with the result by round section. The numbering between both does not match.--Sakiv (talk) 13:13, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Sakiv: The official league source on fixture scheduling, as referenced, should be the driving factor in the numbering, not the "results by round section". I agree that that should be changed, but as it's a template then that requires a wider discussion.--Dave logic (talk) 14:08, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
