The citation for the new information in the Baseball section ("the only thing I ever wanted to president of was the American League") is here: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,968509-2,00.html I'm out of practice editing here and I couldn't figure out how to footnote it properly. Apologies. Vardavas (talk) 03:57, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

No worries. It's a good quote, and i know it to be accurate. Next time just add it in the footnotes so folks can see the source. MarmadukePercy (talk) 04:01, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Dead link[edit]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

Photo[edit]

I'm not sure of the encyclopedic value of adding this photo to the article. My initial instinct is that it does not add sufficient information to warrant inclusion. What does everyone think? isaacl (talk) 05:23, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

I agree with you. There may be times when gravestone photos are all that's available to illustrate an article, but in this case we have actual photos available of the person in question. He's famous for being alive, not for being buried. If additional photos are desired, perhaps one in academic garb and one presiding in his baseball capacity would be more appropriate. - Nunh-huh 05:58, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
It's a rather poor photo anyway--a dark stone in the shade with a sunlit upper background. Surely there is something better. Rklear (talk) 12:25, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Circular links[edit]

Check out the links for presidents of Yale University. Come back to this same page by clicking "preceding president". Back to the Future, I say. 217.144.100.22 (talk) 17:10, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
