Speed limit[edit]

as of 2009 sections between Sredanci and Županja have the speed limit lowered to 100 km/h because of deteriorated pavement

Does that still apply? I cannot get a confirmation of that info from HAC nor any other source. Thanks!--Tomobe03 (talk) 23:21, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I had added this. Granted, it's WP:OR, but it's plain true. The speed limit road signs were crossed out and replaced, which was effectively official - I doubt HAC would allow just anyone to do that. If anyone's been driving on that section lately, they can confirm or update. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 19:25, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I simply could find no way of confirming neither the 100 km/h speed limit which I am aware was enforced on most of the A3 some time ago due to poor pavement nor confirming completion of reconstruction of the section short of driving there.--Tomobe03 (talk) 20:55, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In the last decade or so they definitely re-paved large stretches of the road, I recall major ruts on the Zagreb-Novska sections. They don't seem to treat it as a matter worth bragging about, it's just the cost of doing business. The same happens on the Zagreb-Karlovac section. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 22:08, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
True, but I figured HAC road condition report may note it (as in case of Jakuševec IC) or at least some newspaper looking for something to complain about... An off topic remark about the motorway business and the A1 traffic sign character spacing we talked about some time ago: I drove from Rijeka to Zagreb today and the direction traffic signs on a cantilevered gantry in Bosiljevo 2 IC displayed the A1 signs incorporated in the two signs placed side by side - one with A and 1 placed close together and another one as far apart as the sign would permit.--Tomobe03 (talk) 22:29, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, so they just plain don't care :) It does prove one thing - we seem to be worrying too much about correctness :) --Joy [shallot] (talk) 07:26, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

JFTR it's still there. To be more precise, if I remember correctly - in the eastbound direction, there's a sign for 25 km of ruts at the Velika Kopanica interchange, and for 12 km of ruts at the Babina Greda interchange. The former section is worse AFAICT. In the westbound direction, there's a similar sign at Županja interchange, and that eastern section is worse. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 20:39, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link[edit]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!
