Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... that information is provided by the brazilian government and is for free. --Raniee09 (talk) 00:09, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Name change[edit]

The title of this page makes no sense at all. The "v." in the title means "versus", and is employed in the English-speaking countries for judicial case citations. In this citation practice, the two parties on litigation are identified by their last names, separated by the mentioned "v.", and one should read the title "Person A versus/against Person B".

However, this case citation method cannot be applied to Brazilian judicial actions, simply because:

1. judicial cases are nowhere cited that way in Brazil, instead they are numbered and indexed. 2. in these particular actions (the Ação Direta de Inconstitucionalidade and the Arguição de Descumprimento de Preceito Fundamental), there are no two parties in litigation, but rather one party asking for a legal statute, decree or practice to be deemed not in accordance to the Constitution. 3. clearly, it makes no sense at all saying that two actions were "against Brazilian civil union", as, in fact, their aim was exactly the opposite, to ensure their recognition.

I suggest this page should be renamed simply as "ADI 4277 and ADPF 132". --Krystoffer (talk) 07:59, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
