I don't think Atmel needs to advertise on Wikipedia. That said, this article is pretty much word for word out of Atmel's documentation. Considering this part has no real significance, there's no point in it having a Wikipedia article. This page should be deleted.76.177.56.164 (talk) 13:00, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree - the ATmega328 MCU, being the heart of the hugely popular Arduino Uno open-source development board, deserves to have a spot on Wikipedia. I agree the article in its current state is inadequate - but that is not a reason to delete it - it is more a reason to mark it as a stub and invite it to be expanded.--Two Shillings and Sixpence (talk) 15:49, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I know full well what the ATmega328 is-- I'm designing a product around it right now, which is what led me to this article. This part is not significant, it's just one of Atmel's many AVR chipsets. It's no 8086 by any stretch of the imagination. I agree that Arduino is significant and deserves its own page, and maybe there should be a listing of the chipsets in the various arduino flavors, but each chip does not deserve its own page. There is nothing special or significant about this particular part; it wasn't even the first arduino. I can't imagine there's anything that can be said about this chip that isn't in a bulletted list in Atmel's own datasheets.76.177.56.164 (talk) 15:08, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How about a redirect to megaAVR (which itself redirects to AVR microcontrollers). I don't think it's necessary for the ATmega328 to have its own page. Wilkgr (talk) 04:02, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
