Comment[edit]

The decision to make the film in black and white also allowed them to splice in not only footage of the Nazi film "Titanic" from 1942/3, it also allowed them to splice in footage of real ships being launched -- tho not the Titanic. How can I put this in words? I tried editing the page to say it but nothing came out right. -- Zoe

Premonition?[edit]

This book from a well-regarded author starts with a short mention of a minor fiction-writer who had written a pulp-novel in 1898 about a remarkably similar story, with a ship called the Titan being sunk by an iceberg. So many of the details tally with the Titanic story, that it must classify as a case for consideration as a genuine premonition. There was also a similar short story by W.T.
