Actual facts[edit]

Whenever taking the plot beyond newsbytes originating in daily press and into the realm of historical data, it seems quite justified to augment the article with supporting court documents where the facts are explained in detail. The film is based on true life events which should not be taken lightly. However, more third-party reliable sources about actual facts are also available at the already well written and much more developed articles in Wikipedia. If the source doesn't mention the film, then it's WP:SYNTH. This article is about a fictional film, which is "inspired" by the Jedwabne pogrom. Using a blurb from a daily magazine online is grossly inadequate in describing the history of Jedwabne, so please do not rely on it for reference. Jedwabne is not spoken about in the film at all, only the village of Gurówka is. However, the obvious connection of the film to real-life history goes well beyond the fictional village and events described in the original storyline which are referenced now. The purpose of this article is to provide information based on our core policy of Wikipedia:Verifiability#Reliable_sources. The actual film deserves that also. Agreed. As present, the article does not present neutral view of the subject. Polish criticism is presented as unjustified - in other word, the article is clearly taking sides here. Text written in the tannery[edit]

While the 'tannery' in the film looks like a bunker and all inscriptions are on German (plate on the fence: "Gefahrenzone - Es wird ohne Warnung geschossen/Dangerzone - shooting without warning", inside the building: "Rauchen verboten/No smoking"), the writings on the wall are on Polish (time stamp 1:16:04).
