Entry into force[edit]

I've edited the article to reflect that the TBT Agreement existed prior to the Uruguay Round Trade Agreements. I don't have a good cite for that at the moment, but the U.S. government's first accession to the TBT Agreement was via the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. U.N. records indicate that the U.S. withdrew from the earlier version of the TBT Agreement just prior to adopting its accession to the Uruguay Round agreements in the Uruguay Round Agreements Act of 1994.
