Peul/Fulani zebu
[edit]With reference to zebu types, I changed "peul" to "Fulani," which is the more appropriate and (per Google) more frequent usage in English. May mean white Fulani cattle or red Fulani cattle?--A12n (talk) 18:34, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Proposed New section : Combatting desertification.
[edit]Seeing as how the article lacks a dedicated section which discusses desertification, I would like to add a section, with the following outline :
→ issue (2 sentences)
→ proposed solutions/debates (1 sentence)
→ ongoing projects & actors (1-2 sentences) DeuxÉtoiles (talk) 01:55, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
Final changes
[edit]Hello, as part of a class project I have added the "Climate Change" section to this article, and revised the introduction. I would like to add that the article could use a full make over as most of the article is based on an outdated source which may not capture current challenges. The "climate change" section briefly touches on the debates occurring in political circles surrounding international development and I encourage readers/editors to approach agriculture in developing countries from a critical point of view, as economic trajectories are not linear and agriculture is often home to technocratic pressures which fall short of their supposed objectives.
