Change Boxart[edit]

The resolution/quality of the box art look really wrong. Someone should replace it with a less stretchy shot.

Litigation.[edit]

It's probably notable that the guys behind the song that features in the first cut scenes agents have been openly litigating against YouTubers who make Let's Plays of or feature video from the game where that song is inserted. It runs in the background, not very notable, but for one cut scene you hear about 12 seconds of the song. On appeal the company representing them proceeds to litigation against claimants outside of the US--specifically--I'm not sure if they do the same with folks in the US, but it's safe to say they have made tens of thousands of dollars out of it--which is obviously their motivation--as advertising that runs in, on, and around the video in question of the players creation goes to them.

It's the scummiest low ball move of any agent I've seen on YouTube, and it was a bit of a big deal when the game first came out (yet they're still actively policing it, mind you) so idk whether it's something notable enough given that the attention it garnered at the time in gaming circles kind of eclipsed the game itself for a while. I'll leave it to the editors who lurk this article to use their best judgment, but as someone who is currently tied up with copyright strikes from these jerks I would like to see some mention of their devious plot in public. It seems that this article is very ... PR-spun as it is, so we might get some pushback if we address the notability of the agents actions given that all agents to date usually turn a blind eye to Let's Plays and given fair use clearly covers this they're relying on people not having the funds, time, or effort to go to the US to fight the matter. It may be notable, but it needs sources. Have any reliable news sites reported on it? Had a quick search and nothing seems to come up at all. Яehevkor 10:38, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
Might be related to this [1]? Although this is a Youtube issue, not an Alan Wake issue. Яehevkor 12:31, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
