The record label[edit]

Unfortunately, most of the links here are expecting it to be about Alternative Press the record label. Disambiguation? Morwen 17:12, May 22, 2004 (UTC)

Fair point. Meaning this should be listed under Alternative Media (which will make some of the language less clanky too)? So I'll put a stub under Alternative Press, relocate this article under Alternative Media and trawl the Alternative Press links to make them direct to Alternative Media instead if that is their intention. Proposed changes[edit]

The broad category Alternative press should not have been moved to Alternative media. Perhaps we need a disambiguation page. There are dozens of books on the alternative press (print) around the world. How about:

I just ran into this page and will definitely look into over-hauling it. We should just redirect/merge this page to Alternative Press (magazine). I'm going to look into what I can do for this article. We definitely do need a disambig. page as well. -Myxomatosis 08:45, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

noncompliant[edit]

This Article was noncompliant with Wikipedia standards: it read like a first-person magazine article, was verbose, and, worse, an advertisement and copyright infringement of material off Alternative Press' website.

I've re-written it to meet Wikipedia standards. Note: all copyrighted material from Alternative Press magazine's website (www.altpress.com) has been removed and must not be pasted in this article per Wikipedia policy on using copyrighted material. JGHowes 19:55, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Altpress first issue.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

merged alternative press to alternative media[edit]

And looking over the what-links-here for alt. press, nearly all of it came here, so I redirected that to this article (rather than go through the entire thing just to pipe alternative press to alternative press (magazine), ugh). With that said, if no one objects within the week (by Sep 23rd), then I think this should be moved over redirect, with a note on the top here that you may have been looking for alternative media (disambig seems a little too much for only 2 pages). Rationale for article move[edit]
