There is confusion in this article; both over the location of her place of birth, and in the following sentence - "Kole and Kole retired from competitive skating in November 2009 following the 2010 Midwestern Sectional Championships." Can an editor with some knowledge of the topic please address these issues. Thanks,
@Derek R Bullamore: Figure skating seasons start in the fall and go to the spring, e.g. 2009–10 season. U.S. Figure Skating calls the regional, sectional, and national events all by the later year, even though regionals and sectionals happen in the fall. That is, 2010 sectionals occurred in the fall of 2009. So the years are correct. If you have a better way of wording the sentence, go ahead and change it.
