As far as I remember, he did not study at the university which became the Technical University of Denmark, but he studied at the Danish Engineering Academia (Dansk Ingeniørakademi, DIA), which later merged with TUD. I think it is not correct to say that he studied at TUD, it should be changed to DIA, with an explanation of what DIA is. DIA graduates were bachelors. Dybdahl 13:40, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

YouTube links[edit]

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed or you would like to help spread this message contact us on this page. Thanks, ---J.S (t|c) 05:16, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Who is Niels Jensen?[edit]

I noticed there is a phrase "for all those years, Niels Jensen had successfully handled the relationship between Borland and Polydata", but who is Niels Jensen? There is no mention of this name at other places in this article at all? And it is added by an IP. -Cyferz (talk) 21:47, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

I noticed that too. It was actually added "13:45, 8 November 2006 DominicHyland". The IP just put an "n" after the last name of Niels, but "DominicHyland" added that part. Like you, I wonder who Niels Jensen is. He should have been mentioned before this part already, but he never was. In fact, he is not mentioned anywhere else in this article. We'd need at least some reference about this "Niels Jensen". If not, I think it should be removed. I have added a "Citation needed". (talk) 23:32, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Niels Jensen is one of the original co-founders of Borland International and JPI (also a compiler company). That alone makes him notable. The problem here is that Wikipedia needs an article on him and it doesn't yet have one. It does not need to remove the few references that already exist. As part of your Wikipedia education, I think that you would find it beneficial to do soem research on him and create an article. -- Derek Ross | Talk 00:39, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
In fact, I have done a lot of research and created a lot of articles here on Wikipedia, under my "real" username. I just made an observation here. I am sorry I did not have enough interest in Niels Jensen to do the research and create an article. But that is the way Wikipedia works. Someone mentions something that seems "off". Then someone else with the interest, information, time, and so on, fixes it. You know as well as I do that everyone can edit Wikipedia and that there are lots of people who feel the need to insert their own name or someone they know in an article. I thought maybe that was the case here too, but I was not interested enough in the topic to do my own research. So I did the "best" I could do, which was to add a "citation needed" so that people more interested and with more knowledge on this topic might see it. In fact, since you know a lot more about Niels Jensen than Cyferz or me, why don't you replace my "citation needed" with an actual citation? That might be beneficial to Wikipedia... Oh, I've created a fair few WP articles too over the last 7 years. In fact I created the Anders Hejlsberg article. I just thought that someone else might like doing the others. Someone has risen to the occasion with Kahn, but not with Jensen so far. In any case I will have a look for a citation since nobody else seems to be willing to do so. -- Derek Ross | Talk 18:10, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Pronunciation of his last name[edit]

I am translating this article into Thai language, but I am not sure how to pronounce Hejlsberg. The best reference I can find is the Japanese version, which spell it like Hels-berg. Sorry if this is not relevant to the article directly but I think I got the best chance to get the answer here. --Biglobster (talk) 07:56, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
