Proposed move[edit]

Since the editor who placed the proposed split tag on this page did not see fit to elaborate on the proposal, I rise in Opposition. It is arguable that this article might be better named something like The Yard (Howard University), since the National Historic Landmark designation that is the subject of this article actually includes much of that portion of the Howard campus. (The boundaries of the landmark include The Yard, all of the buildings on the south and west sides of The Yard quadrangle, and exclude those on the north and east.) This can be written about as a unit. Magic♪piano 14:59, 28 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I support the split, but moving this to The Yard (Howard University) would also be much better than the current situation. There's no such thing as "Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel, Frederick Douglass Memorial Hall, Founders Library". As I've said before, I get tired of seeing all these Wikipedia article titles that are based on NRHP nomination forms that just smash 3 or 4 names together. kennethaw88talk 09:46, 14 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
