Deletion[edit]

I just want to ascertain why this page is being deleted.

Is it to make way for the footballer to be moved back here? If so I support that.

Ok. After doing a bit of research into the circumstances of the move, and of policy in this area, I came to the same conclusion. I therefore re-tagged it with the correct CSD and rationale. If, and only if, the other man's article is created, I believe the footballer would belong at ~~Andrey Stephanov (footballer)~~ Andrei Stephanov (footballer) anyway, per WP:COMMONNAME. Clarification[edit]

Sorry to have missed this discussion when doing my usual maintenance rounds. I just wanted to clarify that this page is located at "Andrey Stepanov" (and not at "Andrei Stepanov") in accordance with the WP:RUS#People guideline; specifically bullet 9. That provision does not, of course, affect the spelling variant choices for the individual entries on this page.
