Is this an advertising of Antarctica Overseas?[edit]

That article really looks like one. Why don't renominate it for deletion? -(84.250.25.157) 16:40, 8 January 2008 (UTC)}}

These items exist. I don't see any reason to delete it just because these items are for sale by someone. You don't think we should delete the article on Ford do you? 76.25.139.167 (talk) 00:16, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Fair Use[edit]

Does anyone know fair use guidelines for uploading images of currency? samwaltz 01:34, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Nevermind. Found it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Fair_use#Images

deletion notice[edit]

I think I deserve to delete the notice. --Chochopk 22:59, 5 August 2006 (UTC) I second that. I'll delete the notice. Klosterdev 02:49, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Yes, the notice should be deleted, they are issued banknotes. Enlil Ninlil 03:42, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
It strikes me that this is a fantasy issue of no official standing. If that is the case, the article needs to make this clear, otherwise I suspect the call for deletion will continue. If this isn't the case, details of the currency's use needs to be supplied since it is clearly very poorly known.

Removed text in Antarctica[edit]

I removed the text and picture about this is Antarctica. I don't mind if there is an article about the Antarctican dollar (m: Wiki is not paper), but please don't pollute important articles with unimportant stuff. --Apoc2400 01:41, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Moneyantr.jpg[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

File:Moneyantr.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:55, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

From somebody close to the source....[edit]

Hello, Im David Hamilton. I own Antarctica Overseas Exchange Office Ltd. I am neutral on whether or not the article stays on. I did not write it. I believe the article factual. I was surprised to find it online one day. AOEO Ltd is a going concern with a large customer base, however I must admit I see no possibility my bills will ever be embraced as legal tender or gain official status. It is closer to call it a commercial enterprise, but I do also send money to Students on Ice, a program associated with the Royal Canadian Geographic Society. I have sent bills to Antarctica, they are known of there. Returns of bills for US dollars is rare. I leave it for the market to decide if my bills are important to their collections.

Yours truly, 71.197.142.93 (talk) 00:58, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Dave Hamilton

Expiry date?[edit]

In the article, there are information about the expiry dates of the several series of banknotes. What does that mean? Ordinary national currency does not expire in unexceptional circumstances (change of currency, for example), and the banknotes in question do not seem to be accepted for any sort of transaction even before the quoted dates. Thus, what does expiration actually entail? --Wtrmute (talk) 11:20, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
