Untitled[edit]

I haven't been able to identify that Mantle was an 'Ace', as such (eg no entry in 'Above the Trenches', the standard reference listing all British Empire Aces). Therefore wondering if putting him under this category is correct - I'm happy to be told otherwise. But I'd propose, after an appropriate interval, to remove this category. He is also unlisted at http://www.theaerodrome.com/aces/by_name.php?pageNum_names=2&totalRows_names=169&KT_az=M. He should be delisted from this category.

Camp de Poulines (RNASTE Vendome)[edit]

Does anyone have any information regarding the RNAS/RAF training establishment at Vendome, France? There is little local information available. If anyone knows of anyone who trained there, please say so, I'm thinking of creating the page. Indigoloki (talk) 13:13, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I know of the following units at RAF Vendôme:
  • No. 37 Aeroplane Service Unit (October 1918 to June 1919)
  • No. 205 Training Depot Station (April 1918 formerly the RNAS Training Establishment - December 1918)
  • No. 212 Training Depot Station (October 1918 - December 1918)
  • No. 84 Wing formed October 1918 at RAF Vendôme to control 205 and 212 Training Depot Station, disbanded November 1919. MilborneOne (talk) 19:14, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Fantastic, thank you. Do you know if any of those units are well linked-in around Wikipedia? I'm thinking of creating an article for the base so anything you have to add would be much appreciated. Do you know what it's referred to in official records? RAF Vendome? Indigoloki (talk) 00:54, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
