A fact from Appomattoc appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know? column on 2 October 2008, and was viewed approximately 751 times (disclaimer)(check views). The text of the entry was as follows: "Did you know
... that the weroance of the Appomattoc tribe, Perecute, personally led Thomas Batts and Robert Fallam on an expedition in 1671 to become the first Europeans to set foot within what is now West Virginia?"
There appears to be limited info about the Appomattoc, but this consists mostly of English attacks against them. Perhaps it could be expanded to tell more about their own lives and their regional context.--Parkwells (talk) 16:25, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
