== Is it 76.45 carat or 76.02 carat? == The Wikipedia article List of diamonds puts the weight of Archduke Joseph at 76.45 carat whereas news stories put it at 76.02 carat. Which is it? I didn't try to resolve the discrepancy in the text of the article but instead left the two different weights in the parts of the text originating respectively in the Wikipedia article and in the news stories because it would be silly to get rid of the right information, whichever it is, by picking (for the moment at random) one of the two figures and chucking the other. Hopefully someone will notice the discrepancy and resolve it. Maybe it has a simple explanation. Was it recut again after its sale in 1993? Note also that the Wikipedia article says it was sold to Molina Jewelers "in the late 1990s" whereas news stories speak of 1993 which is not really late 1990s. • Since the information about the Archduke Joseph Diamond on the List of diamonds page is unsourced, I would take it as unreliable and not verified. The reference listed is the BBC news article regarding the sale and not the history. It might have been re-cut but unless it is referenced it should be deleted. According to Christie’s published press release ([1]) the diamond is 76.02 carats and sold by them for the first time in 1993 but didn't say who the seller and buyer was. I would take the lastest Christie's information as accurate and reliable, hence delete the unsourced content on the List of diamonds page and only included info that can be referenced, eg "Historical 76.02 carat, cushion-shaped, D colour, internally flawless Golconda diamond, sold at on 13 November 2012 by Christies to an anonymous buyer for USD21.4M".--Michaela den (talk) 10:09, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

** I agree with everything you say. I'll implement the changes as soon as I get a chance. If you've got some time on your hand you don't know what to do with, you are also very welcome to do it. Otherwise I'll do it very shortly. There's other things I'd like to change, the first being to replace the photograph of the Archduke (person and first recorded owner) by a photograph of the Archduke (diamond), which I'll do as soon as I can locate a non-copyrighted one. <small><font color = "grey">Signed: </font></small>Basemetal <small>(<font color = "grey">write to me </font>here)</small> 03:26, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

== Is it 18.1m Swiss franks or "more than 20.0m Swiss franks"? == The BBC site gives the price fetched as "more than 20m Swiss franks" but if you watch the clip of the sale on the same site you see that the diamond was sold for 18.1m Swiss franks. Is the more than 1.9m franks difference between the two figures actually the commission? I'm not familiar with the size of commissions. Does a (almost) 2m franks commission seem reasonable for a sale of 18m franks? Basemetal (talk) 10:30, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Basemetal 10:58, 9 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That would be a 10% commission. Hyacinth (talk) 00:49, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

::And does that sound reasonable? <small><font color = "grey">Signed: </font></small>Basemetal <small>(<font color = "grey">write to me </font>here)</small> 03:28, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Basemetal 10:58, 9 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
