High school career

[edit]
  • "Amerson was designated the offensive player of the year in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) after the Morse won the CIF San Diego section championship" - just morse will suffice in the emboldened text
  • "He made California District 42's All-Star team in 1992." - since we've already established this was 1992 earlier in the section, reword the text in bold to that year
    • @MWright96: I'm not so sure on this one. We've moved on in the prose to discussing baseball, which he played during high school. I could not find more specific information on start/end years in the available sources, mostly because Amerson didn't continue playing that sport beyond high school. Since we're moving from "during high school" as a time period back to "1992" specifically, I think the date is needed to be clear. Thoughts? ~ Rob13Talk 22:52, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
      • (Came here from Rob's talk page) It might be better to leave "1992". The source is from July 1992, so that means that the "California District 42's All-Star" honor must have happened during his junior year of high school since baseball is usually played during the second semester of the school year. Saying "that year" might make some people think it happened during his senior year. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 23:24, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

College career

[edit]
  • "On October 5 1996, Amerson scored seven rushing touchdowns against the Weber State Wildcats." - you don't need the year since you have already established the year was 1996 earlier in the paragraph.

Non-reviewer comment

The lead might need some work. Some of those things are unreferenced. His Grey Cup win should probably go in the lead as well. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 02:04, 26 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That is my lot. Going to put this review on hold. MWright96 (talk) 20:29, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
