Dialing plan[edit]

Is it 10-digit dialing throughout all of 321, or just the section overlaying 407? (In other words, would a local call in Brevard County be 7 or 10 digits?) CrazyC83 (talk) 23:14, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Seven; no area code is required to dial from one 321 number to another. かんぱい! Scapler (talk) 23:02, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Are you referring to calls between places which are exclusively in 321? I take it 10 digits would be used for local calls in places served by the 407/321 overlay, but what if you are calling from exclusively-321 location to a 321 area number which is in the 407/321 overlay? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.82 (talk) 19:48, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

What was this rejected Chicago-area proposal?[edit]

I see this comment in this article, and it's about the assignment of this area code (321):

"it was assigned to the area, instead of suburban Chicago"

Please explain this rejected proposal regarding suburban Chicago. Notice that 321 is just a two-digit transposition away from 312, which was the original Chicago-area area code (excluding fringe suburban areas in area 815). 312 has split twice and thus remains only in downtown Chicago. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.82 (talk) 19:44, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
