This biographical entry's title has been John Roy Carlson from its creation on August 8, 2008 until June 5, 2012, when it was moved to Arthur Derounian. As the lead paragraph indicates, "John Roy Carlson" was a pen name, one of a number of writing pseudonyms used by the subject, born Avedis Boghos Derounian who, with his ethnic Armenian family (parents and two brothers), arrived in the United States at the age of 12, in 1921, adopted the Americanized (Anglicized ?) given name of "Arthur", and lived in America for 70 years, until his death in 1991. The young immigrants' assimilation was highly developed-----Arthur became a master of the written word, and his youngest brother, who was 3 years old when the family arrived in America, and whose Americanized given name was "Steven", attained significant elective office, representing New York's 3rd congressional district from 1953 to 1965. Unlike other writers whose pen names became their legal names or those who were known by their pen names to such a degree that their legal names were rarely used, Arthur Derounian used his legal name for much of his writing and the headline of his obituary in the New York Times (appended to the article) was "Arthur Derounian, 82, an Author Of Books on Fascists and Bigots". This Wikipedia article, as it was, did not even contain any redirects, thus anyone typing Arthur Derounian or, in an unlikely possibility, Avedis Derounian or Avedis Boghos Derounian into Search, would be confronted with the indication that no such articles existed. In the aftermath of today's move, the revised main title header, Arthur Derounian, with John Roy Carlson still present, but now as a redirect, will provide a more realistically appropriate appellation.—Roman Spinner(talk)(contribs) 05:08, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
