Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here)

This company has been listed Wikipedia since 2008 and has made many breakthroughs in the field that have lead to the technological advancement. It was also involved directly in the translation of Wikipedia into Thai as seen here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/Single/2011-01-17 One of the key players was Philipp Koehn was recognized as runner up for European Inventor of the Year by the European Patent office. The creation of this page is to replace the original page Asia Online as the company rebranded several weeks ago to Omniscien Technologies. The text has been updated to reflect the latest information. Given that the company was approved and edited over many years in the past by many Wikipedia editors and admins, it seems illogical to ignore this past and the contributions the company has made. --Dionwiggins (talk) 03:45, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

I've removed the speedy deletion template. Next time, please use the "Move" button at the top of the page rather than cutting & pasting content into a new article. See Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia for details. --Paul_012 (talk) 11:21, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

Trimming some of the PR speak[edit]

I see from the editing history that others also have trimmed some of the PR speak from this. I made some changes too since the text still made it seem as if Asia Online were one of the first SMT players (this kind of thing seems to happen a lot with technology news, they make one product based on 50 years of research by hundreds of different researchers in the field, and somehow in going from the internal release statement through the press release through to the newspapers, it sound as if Lambourghini with their new car just invented differential gears, the wheel, etc.).Kiwibird (talk) 06:54, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
