Human Rights Record[edit]

Atmos Energy has recently been investigated by the US Labor Department's Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC) for disability discrimination against a disabled, Gulf War veteran. He reported asking for simple, workplace accommodations for his disabilities and was summarily dismissed without further discussion. The EEOC has determined that Atmos was in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act, and they may be sued. A complaint has also been filed with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). [citation needed]

Atmos refused to admit any wrongdoing in the situation, and they refused reconciliation.[citation needed]

I originally requested citations on these paragraphs in January 2009 because the material was written like it had an axe to grind. I have attempted to find the basis for this posting but haven't had any luck. If someone can provide references, I'll put the material back in the main article with a NPOV rewrite, otherwise it will get deleted from this page in short order.
