Notability[edit]

The notability of this subject is questionable. A Google Scholar search reveals only few citations to his publications and it seems doubtful that the subject passes WP:PROF. The "award" by the American Biographical Institute and the listing in the ABI's Who is Who are not notable at all (see WP article on ABI). If there are other sources establishing notability according to WP:BIO, then these should be added to the article. --Crusio (talk) 15:49, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

99 scholarly articles, plus numerous editorials, government reports, etc. Not an open-and-shut case, for sure. Plasticup T/C 03:14, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not open and shut, I agree completely. But publishing is what academics do and as WP:PROF says, only if their publications have had impact on their field will that lead to notability. It's the latter aspect that I don't see here, so I am pretty certain that WP:PROF is not being met. But perhaps WP:BIO is met and that would then have precedence. As usual, verifiable and independent sources are needed to establish that. --Crusio (talk) 08:37, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
