Err what... why do state governments currently redirect to the national government page?--ZayZayEM 08:44, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Because no-one has yet written those articles. I will do so soon. In the meantime I have un-redirected them. Adam 09:17, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

wikipedia articles should be singular unless they are lists (wikipedia:naming conventions). there has to be a better way to index these articles other than using an article titled Australian governments which is basically a grab-bag of links. articles should consist of either 1) content, 2) disambiguation or 3) lists. this article fits into none of these categories, and should be rewritten in one of the above styles. clarkk 02:44, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)
"directory" pages are not a commonly sanctioned format for articles as far as i am aware unless they are in the wikipedia: namespace. although if there is such a suggested style/policy/format, please let me know. clarkk 02:47, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The problem is that Australia is a federation which has nine governments within its territory. If the article were to be titled Australian government that would cause confusion because the Australian Government refers to the Commonwealth Government only. There needs to be a page directing people to each of the nine different government. I will add some content so that the page becomes an article. Adam 11:46, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Class/Importance Rating[edit]

I've given this page an NA rating, as it serves as nothing more than a page of links. However, should it ever turn into an article with text on Government in Australia, it's history and related information, with 'See Also' linking to the levels of government, it would be a Top importance article.--Iorek85 04:51, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

This should not be a dab page. It should describe the history and present system of government in the 13(?) jurisdictions of Australia. I'm making a start. Have changed ratings as suggested. --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 22:25, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
