Removed a link to another test based on the DSM-IV[edit]

I removed a link to another test based on the DSM-IV posted by 202.156.6.54 because (a) it's not a very good test (see the Forer effect if you want an explanation why) and (b) I think it's probably beyond the scope of this article. I know that there are some other self-tests knocking around and it may be worthwhile including a section discussing them, but I'm not aware that any of them have been peer reviewed in an academic journal in the same way that the AQ has. 212.134.26.249 20:01, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

it's a reasonable link to include - self diagnosis via internet quiz makes it pretty clearly fair game - but some explanatory test in the 'diagnostic tool' section might be in order. pauli133 (talk) 20:42, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I scored a 14 on the test yet I'm official diagnosed having autism. Maybe the self-image I have is different from other peoples observations. The statement that a score of 26 or less indicates that a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome can be ruled out is not consistent with the article cited. Table II of the cited article (p334) indicates that accepting a score of 26 or above provides the highest percentage of correctly classified clients. The article refers to 26 as a "threshold score" (p333) and Table II refers to a "cut-off point" of ">=26". In other words, 26 is the lowest acceptable score, not the highest unacceptable score, when considering a diagnostic assessment. Self-Assessment (AQ Test)[edit]

There is an online self-assessment test for Autism Spectrum Quotient. I took this quiz test & it detected high levels of Autism related traits in me. The results of this test reads:"Oops! we've detected high levels of Autism related traits in you. Please consider seeking medical help". I mean, can these self-assessment quizzes truly detect whether an individual is having Autism related traits? Are they legit? Do they provide accurate results?
