Baby Loves Disco is a unique entertainment event for local community families. It has afforded opportunities for parents and children alike to meet, mingle, have some fun, leave the stresses of parenthood behind, and dance the afternoon away. All within a real nightclub setting, (which most parents haven’t had an opportunity to experience since starting their families.) Baby Loves Disco has it’s own cultural impact which warrants proper inclusion on Wikipedia.

Baby Loves Disco has closed it's doors in all locations due to the current state of our global economy in 2009. Although while the event ran for five years and had a social and cultural impact it should be included in Wikipedia due to it's historical significance. This is not a promotional article as the event has ceased to exist.

Much like the article on Wikipedia relating to events such as Burning Man, this article on Baby Loves Disco should be included.Dj.jesse.allen (talk) 05:15, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, there is nothing in the article which indicates that this event is no longer taking place, and that has a direct bearing on 1) the facts about the subject, and 2) its notability. The article gives the distinct impression that it is an ongoing enterprise. I get the feeling that the author is trying to gin up interest in reviving the event(s). Furthermore, most of the information is referenced to the subject's web site. The external links to stories about the article are pretty substantial, but they are almost all three or more years old, and I'm still not convinced this passes notability requirements. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 04:09, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited the page to include it's conclusion and that this article should, for all intensive purposes, be added as an encyclopedia entry due to it's impact and historical significance. Any suggestions on how I could properly revise this article for inclusion on Wikipedia would be more then welcome. I'd like to see it's cultural work preserved and maintained here. Would it be best to delete the links to their web site and include more recent press links or other articles relating to the impact that Baby Loves Disco had on local communities? I have removed my speedy-delete tag for now, but I have also performed major surgery on this article. The primary purpose was to change this to past tense (they're all closed now), but I also removed all the "peacock" and promotional language. The charity stuff was not relevant and just PR puffery. The list of every single location in the US with its own link to each was big-time overkill. I'm still not convinced this outfit is notable, and have tagged it as such. But this edit improves the article greatly, and removes the language that was obviously written by someone with an obvious attachment to BLD. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 07:25, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For all those involved in editing this article: Please be advised of Wikipedia policies regarding conflicts of interest. It appears that at least one editor has such a conflict and should probably not be involved in editing. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 01:59, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
