Tables of Integral Transforms missing[edit]

This article needs to also reference the two volumes of "Tables of Integral Transforms" which were part of the Bateman Manuscript Project. When I get in to my office, I will modify the article and supply ISBN numbers.Quantum mechanic 16:10, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This has been fixed meanwhile. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 11:31, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like it has been unfixed. 76.219.79.2 (talk) 16:00, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

English[edit]

The English in this article is really bad. Someone should try to improve it. Thatsme314 (talk) 02:16, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Full names of research assistants?[edit]

For completeness and consistency, does somebody know the full given names of two of the research assistants participating in the project between 1948–1949 at Caltech, A. R. Harvey and E. L. Whitney? --Matthiaspaul (talk) 11:31, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Meanwhile I could answer this question myself: Per [1] their names were Albert Raymond Harvey and Eoin Laird Whitney. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 15:18, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Errata[edit]

For a "classic" such as this book series, it would be desirable to have a collection of errata. Since the official web-site at California Institute of Technology does not list any errata (and the scans of the books they offer for download do not contain errata sheets as well), let's at least try to find the most complete set of errata sheets. Overview (based on my own samples of these books and the scans available from Caltech and nrbook.com):

  • Higher Transcendental Functions I: 4 errata pages with a total of 75 entries (found in print runs labelled "III" and "8 9 10 11 12 13 HD 9 8 7" (the latter one offered for download as scan from the nrbook.com site)).
  • Higher Transcendental Functions II: 1 errata page with a total of 14 entries (found in print runs labelled "III 19546" and "7 8 9 10 11 12 13 HL 9 8 7 6" (the latter one offered for download as scan from the nrbook.com site)).
  • Higher Transcendental Functions III: no known errata sheets (found in print runs labelled "II" and "VI 19547" (the latter one offered for download as scan from the nrbook.com site)).
  • Integral Transforms I: 1 errata page with 16 entries (found in print runs labelled "11-12-MAMM-76" and "10-MAMM-2" (the latter one offered for download as scan from the nrbook.com site)).
  • Integral Transforms II: no known errata page (found in print run labelled "19950 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16-MAMM-7654" (offered for download as scan from the nrbook.com site)).

Does someone know of more comprehensive errata sheets? --Matthiaspaul (talk) 11:31, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
