Part of Contemporary?[edit]

Should we move this article to Contemporary Resort? The tower is technically part of the Contemporary.—Preceding unsigned comment added by VmKid (talkcontribs) 23:39, 27 November 2009

It isn't part of the Contemporary, it is located on the location of the former North Garden Wing of the Contemporary and makes use of many services at the Contemporary, and the Contemporary is allowed to rent out rooms that have not been reserved by members, but is organized as a separate resort, has it's own facilities which are not available to Contemporary guests, and has rules that differ from Disney Resort rules. --HarryHenryGebel (talk) 23:27, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

View of the Magic Kingdom[edit]

I am removing the uncited criticism that the Bay Lake Tower has blocked the view for some guests at the Contemporary. The Bay Lake Tower is not even visible from any Magic Kingdom view room, nor is it located between and observation area and the Magic Kingdom. --HarryHenryGebel (talk) 23:32, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Number or rooms[edit]

I corrected the number of rooms. There are 428 rooms in the Bay Lake Tower. The number 295 is the "two bedroom equivalent" ie, it counts one bedroom villas and their connecting deluxe studio villas as a single two bedroom villa (referred to as a lock-off in DVC lingo). --HarryHenryGebel (talk) 23:33, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Bay Lake TowerBay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort – While commonly referred to as Bay Lake Tower, the official name of this Disney Vacation Club resort is Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort[1]. As such, to follow the naming convention of the other resorts listed in Category:Disney Vacation Club this page name should be moved to the official name (while still citing the "...commonly referred to as Bay Lake Tower," in the first paragraph). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.17.50.237 (talk) 14:28, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

  • Oppose I fail to see the argument here. We use the common name, not the official name, and the proposer admits that the common name is Bay Lake Tower. Skinsmoke (talk) 03:33, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
  • Oppose; "Bay Lake Tower" is precise enough to uniquely identify the subject, more concise, and perfectly recognizable to the reader. There's no need to move just to mesh with Disney's official paperwork. Powers T 12:52, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
  • Oppose, Common name. Marcus Qwertyus 00:22, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

I found this - not sure if it's accurate(?). If it is, we may as well use it here.
