Husband[edit]

I'm assuming Benadaret & her husband were buried at the same time. If not? How could she've been buried next to him, when she died before him? GoodDay (talk) 16:44, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He died the day after her funeral so they could have been buried together. Lohphat (talk) 05:42, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Important info missing such as work with legend Lucille Ball![edit]

Bernaderet was Ms. Ball's original choice to play Ethel Mertz and ended up playing a frequently mentioned character on the I Love Lucy series named Miss Lewis. Benaderet played in one of only two episodes where neither Vivian Vance nor William Frawley appeared! Bernaderet who was only in her 40s played a woman old enough to pass for Luch's grandmother! It is unimagineable that an article on this actress would not mention her association with Ball! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Roz Lipschitz (talkcontribs) 19:03, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Busy Bea?[edit]

I recommend deletion of this phrase immediately! There's no place for this sort of low humor in a serious endeavor like Wikipedia! Unless I think of it! (-;

I changed that pesky "busy Bea" part, simply stating that she was quite busy. Hope that helps. GermanShepherdsPie (talk) 18:40, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation of name[edit]

How exactly is Benaderet pronounced? 64.179.174.212 (talk) 19:27, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"BEN-ə-DERR-ət" or "BEN-ə-DAIR-ət" Americans often ignore the original pronunciation of names from the Old World. Note how many town names in the Midwest are completely different from their originals in Europe. e.g. ver-SAILS for Versailles, KY instead of "vair-SIGH" France. No credit with Warner Bros.--but how about Hanna-Barbera?[edit]

Was Benaderet credited for her performances as Betty Rubble on "The Flintstones"? The article currently mentions that she was not credited in the Warner Bros. shorts (though there also is no current citation for the given reason), but there is a lengthy list of credits other than Mel Blanc's at the end of every episode of "The Flintstones," which makes perfect sense, since Mel Blanc's alleged contract was with Warner Bros., and "The Flintstones" was produced by Hanna-Barbera. Three Little Bops (IMDB) says that Stan Freberg received sole credit for voices in 1957. The reference to Mel Blanc on Benaderet's page needs correcting in some way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whbjr (talkcontribs) 04:51, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

She did voice-overs as Betty Rubble for Hanna Barbera in the Flintstones. Peter F.Morin petermorin1949@gmail.com Peter morin (talk) 08:27, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I noted that Bea Benaderet played a large role in 77 Sunset Strip opposite Roscoe an old of his and problems they encounter in this hit PI series. This one also includes a healthy dose of the PI Stu in his usual techniques of catching the Villanueva. Peter F. Morin petermorin1949@g mail.com Peter morin (talk) 08:34, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Other radio credits[edit]

I'm pretty sure that she Also played Ozzie & Harriet's slow-witted housekeeper in early radio episodes of the series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.145.113.102 (talk) 15:29, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I may be mistaken, but there seems to be a math error, If she were 12 when she started her radio career, and was born in 1906 that would be 1918. According to the article on the station, it went on the air in 1924, and I believe the earliest commercial station was 1920. Paul35aj (talk) 12:46, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bea Benaderet and a role in 77 Sunset Strip[edit]

Bea Benaderet played a major role in the TV Private I show 77 Sunset Strip. She played an old flame of Roscoe who springs him from Jail. She has a large bank account and the plot revolves around Roscoe and Bea and the problems they encounter.Peter Morin petermorin1949@gmail.com Peter morin (talk) 08:22, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Birth[edit]

Death record http://death-records.mooseroots.com/l/210522244/Beatrice-Twombly along with other sources cite 1906. Why is 1902 used here? Thisdaytrivia (talk) 18:25, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Census records of 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940 all give 1902 as her birth year. These records are readily accessible to the general public LadyJessica84 (talk) 19:02, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm finishing up an expanded revision of this article that should be posted within the next week; therefore, please avoid making major edits to the existing version in the meantime. Thanks. sixtynine • speak up • 02:13, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cancer Treatment at Stanford Medical Center[edit]

The article refers to "laser radiation treatments" but lasers were very primitive in the 1960s. What was probably used was directed radiation beams from radioactive x-ray and gamma sources via particle beams. No lasers were involved. Lohphat (talk) 05:42, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
