Political difference?[edit]

"arch-conservative and committed Republican, while Krause actively supported the civil rights movement" If you look up who voted for and against the 1964 and previous Civil Rights Acts, you'll find the opposition was all or mostly all Democrats while the supporters were all or mostly all Republicans in Congress. The vote records are available. Whatever Beaver and Krause's political differences may have been, it would not have been on the matter of civil rights. Of course it could have been; your characterization of the Civil Rights Act and the positions of the political parties is incomplete. This should help explain what actually was going on. Be that as it may, the sentence in the article isn't supported by the articles on the individual artists, and doesn't seem to have been important enough in the relationship between the artists to matter. So I've removed the entire statement. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 02:34, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
