I have come across this link from The New York Times website, claiming that Lee's year of birth is 1911 rather than 1916. Is this perhaps a typo? If it is, should it not be used on the article so that confusion will be avoided?Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 00:23, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
While the NYT might be correct, it is one of the few reliable sources to indicate 1911 as Benny Lee's year of birth. The quality of the sources having 1916 (BFI website, The Independent obituary) suggests a change does not need to be made. Philip Cross (talk) 08:45, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
