Buckingham solo version

[edit]

There's a statement that this is played on a "gutted Gibson Chet Atkins SST with a capo on the fourth fret and a synth pickup". My first confusion on this was whether "gutted" mean "restrung with gut" or "disemboweled in some sense". I gather it's the latter, i.e. the "synth pickup" replaces the stock electronics. But it's cited with a source that provides exactly none of this. Seems likely to be true, as I see statements to that effect in WP:UGC-grade content, and it looks (to my very untrained eye and indeed ear) consistent with what he's playing in concert footage. Or true-ish, at least: some of the comments say it's a CEC or a CE, rather than an SST. 109.255.211.6 (talk) 16:24, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This information can be found starting at the 8:15 mark of the video embedded in the Premier Guitar article. Hope this helps. Dobbyelf62 (talk) 04:30, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
