One should also be aware that the designation "Black Cat Squadron" is not unique to this unit. The U.S. Air Force 6913ESS of Augsburg Germany was also called the "Black Cat Squadron" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.82.237.32 (talk) 16:15, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

PBY Black Cats[edit]

There also were a number of black-painted, night-fighting Consolidated PBY Catalinas during World War II that were known as "Black Cats," and the units of which they were a part were referred to as "Black Cat squadrons."173.62.108.108 (talk) 20:07, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
