Some guy at this music store I was at told me and my friend that these guys were the "incarnation of Led Zeppelin", I have yet to get any of this stuff, so does anybody else share this sentiment?

I first heard "black mountain" when I attended Coldplay's performance at the shoreline ampetheater courtesy of Steve "Woz" Wozniak in Mountain View, California. Ironically, Mountain View is only 10 miles away from a portion of the santa cruz mountain range that holds the san andreas fault named "Black Mountain"! I thought they were perhaps a local band due to the close proximity of our own black mountain in the bay area / silicon valley. Black mountain's base guitarist is perhaps one of the best I have heard - his performance was concentrated and well tuned to their unique sound. As an opening treat for coldplay it was exceptional.

Why was the bit about McBean's day job deleted as "vandalism?" I'm going to put that back in for now.

Citation? Or something?[edit]

From the article: "The band is a psychedelic amalgamation of Neil Young and Buffalo Springfield, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, the Velvet Underground, and Black Sabbath." Big names. Why not throw in the Beatles and Mozart while we're at it. And, oh, Segovia.
