Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Blois Loire Panorama - July 2011.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on January 14, 2013. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2013-01-14. A panoramic view of Blois, the capital of Loir-et-Cher department in central France, situated on the banks of the lower river Loire between Orléans and Tours. The area has been inhabited since at least the 6th century and was once the seat of a powerful countship.
