Untitled[edit]

"On February 19, 2008, Universal Studios announced it would be releasing movies on Blu-ray Disc format making it the last ever Hollywood major motion picture studio to release titles on the Blu-Ray disc format." What is this supposed to mean? Is this an error? p 14:12, 5 March 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul45 (talkcontribs)

"On January 8, 2008, Paramount Pictures also announced it would be backing Blu-ray exclusively." Is there any proof of this statement? As far as I see they haven't made the decision yet. -- khazeth 19:37, 08 January 2008 (CET)

by nine leading electronic companies like: What does this mean? You list nine companies, they are either the original nine or they are not, they can only be 'like' them if there is some resemblance (which is not clarified). --Jmeden2000 16:45, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm going to remove the "like", since there is no reason to keep it unless somebody can explain why. Nick 8 04:30, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Removed the photo with the major corporations.[edit]

This is due to Paramount being on there, and as of now, Paramount is not in support of Blu-Ray. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.137.172.71 (talk) 01:26, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Wal mart is off topic[edit]

Walmart is off topic because it not a member, according to the website of the blu ray disc association. Same for several other companies listed. Andries (talk) 17:47, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

What is NP Infotech?[edit]

The article says the project was "spearheaded by NP Infotech", but the only references that I can find to "NP Infotech blu-ray" in a Google search are for Wikipedia, or sites that seem to have copied the info from here. Does this company even exist? --Jonovision (talk) 23:20, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Upon further investigation, it turns out that "NP Infotech" was added by a vandal back in July 2007. I'm not sure if it's worse that nobody caught this sooner, or that so many readers blindly accepted this information and posted it on other sites. --Jonovision (talk) 23:38, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Microsoft was no founder of the BD Asspociation[edit]
