Images of budgerigars[edit]

At present the image shown here is of a Cobalt cock (thanks, Kurt-shaped-box). This is fine, but it would be good to show a Skyblue too, and if possible a Mauve. If anyone has such images, please add them. Trevor37 (talk) 08:48, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Trevor. Have you seen the gallery of user-uploaded budgie images at commons:Category:Domesticated budgerigars? These pics can be added to articles in the same way as images located here at the English Wikipedia. I can see quite few possibles for the article there. File:Melopsittacus undulatus -blue -pet-8.jpg is a skyblue, right? I think that File:Bud.jpg is a mauve (or at least he looks like one on my monitor). --Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 18:31, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for adding these. The Skyblue and Cobalt are fine, but I'm not so sure about the Mauve. Let's leave it there for the time being though. I might move these to the Dark mutation later, and replace them with just a Light Green and Skyblue to show the effect of the Blue mutation alone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trevor37 (talkcontribs) 19:42, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. Whatever you think is best - you know a lot more about this subject than I do... ;) --Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 23:38, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
