sources and reliability[edit]

Towards the end of the article, there seems to be a reference to a blog page about Boyce Brown. While this blog piece seems very well written, I don't see much citations, if any. Is this still allowed to stay? https://jazzlives.wordpress.com/2011/08/24/blues-for-boyce/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ctrlmainspace (talkcontribs) 01:58, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

I copied the following from my talk page. Boyce Brown is sourced only to a blog.John Pack Lambert (talk) 20:55, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Definitely notable. Obit in The New York Times here. Also, here is a 1956 profile of him from Life magazine. For "Chicago Jazz: A Cultural History, 1904-1930", Google only permits me a limited preview, but Brown is described (at p. 92) as an important white jazz musician who played long runs in Chicago clubs during the late 20s and throughout the 1030s.
